Rare pair of John Ednie chairs

Superb and very rare pair of oak Glasgow Style Arts & Crafts tallback hall or side chairs by John Ednie for Wylie & Lochhead of Glasgow. c1900.
Beautifully and deeply carved inverted heart cut-outs to back and shaped undulating aprons to three sides below seat.
Have been newly re-rushed to an extremely high standard.
John Ednie also designed a whole bedroom suite of a similar range, the only difference is that the inverted heart cut-outs were also "filled" with a blue ceramic insert. The chair in question from that bedroom suite is now housed at Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow and is illustrated in "The Glasgow Style" by Gerald & Celia Larner item 22.
EA Taylor also designed similar style chairs for Wylie & Lochhead but these by Ednie surpass them in overall form and elegant simple styling.
