A rare, early period, quarter-sawn oak, Arts & Crafts mule chest, by Ambrose Heal c1898; labelled. Lift up top lid with pull up compartment; the upper section above deep pull out drawer with ironwork ring handles. Undulating Voysey style shaped lower apron. Most probably made by CR Ashbee`s Guild of Handicraft workshops in London`s East End at the time.
