An excellent and very stylish snug pair of oak framed (newly re-upholstered and recovered in linen) easy chairs, attributed to Liberty & Co; c1920.
Each approx 40" high, 26" wide and 21" base depth.
Transitional styling that works very well; with the Arts & Crafts "inverted heart/spade" motifs carved base and somewhat more typically Art Deco shaped arms. A similar suite with the same carved base is illustrated in the recent Arts & Crafts Furniture book by John Andrews p206.
