The second of two oak shaped and chamfered Cotswold School mirrors we have by Stanley Webb Davies (1894-1978) of almost identical size but slightly differing detail.
This one is designed to hang upright as the top has rounded chamfered corners and the bottom corners less so. Similar alternating thumbnail detail all along inner edges.
Stamped with SWD cartouche and dated for 1953.
Approx 52" high and 15.5" wide.
