Extremely rare Keswick School of Industrial Arts beautifully patinated small bowl, with unusually for Keswick, a band of fish design, very much in the Newlyn style - at first it can easily be mistaken for the work of John Pearson of the Guild of Handicraft and later Newlyn. Extremely skilled work and high quality workmanship.
It has the rare Keswick School Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee mark for 1897 and also is monogrammed HT, that of Henry Towers whose work was featured in the Studio of 1896. Approx 4.5" high and 4.5" across opening.
