A superb and rare example of a quarter-sawn oak hall seat/settle by Shapland & Petter of Barnstable of upright form, with typical spindles and a superbly patinated circular copper panel to back and lovely large heart cut-outs to sides - very much in the Scottish Glasgow Style. A beautiful and compact design. Approx 37" wide, 45" high and 16" deep. Illustrated in the new book on Shapland & Petter by Daryl Bennett page 68.
