A rare single patinated brass firedog on three shaped feet with ball counterweight by WAS Benson - circa 1895.
Stamped Benson marks to one foot. Kink to one leg.
Height approx 13.5".

A pair of these are in the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum, Trondheim in Norway, having been purchased from Maison Bing in Paris.
