A good selection of c1970`s/80`s 6" square tiles designed by the artist Eleanor Greeves to celebrate historic houses and landmarks in Bedford Park, Chiswick, London - a famous Arts & Crafts Garden Suburb. 

One is of the house CFA Voysey designed, 14 South Parade, Bedford Park. Indeed the latter is illustrated on the front cover of the recent book, 20thC Decorative British Tiles by Chris Blanchett. The others include the church of St Michael and All Angels, two of houses by EW Godwin, one by EJ May and one by William Wilson. Also one circular tile commemorating the Queens Silver Jubilee.

Eleanor Greeves lived in Bedford Park herself. Some of her tile designs were used at Windsor Castle, The Tate Gallery, The Natural History Museum and Law Society in London. Some of her tiles are also housed at the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture (MODA) at Middlesex University and at the Jackfield Tile Museum at Ironbridge, Shropshire.
