A stunning stained oak framed 30hr movement Arts & Crafts mantle clock of tapering rectangular form, with beautifully chamfered “arms/arches” projecting from the sides to the underside of the overhanging mantle top. A large stylised hammered pewter panel to front, housing the clock face/dial in relief and with arrowhead design to base and the motto “Hasten Slowly”. c1900.
A similar clock to this, last appeared on the open market in 2000, at a Christies specialist Arts & Crafts Sale in London.
