A very good oak Arts & Crafts two door wardrobe on original wheels, with impressive carved (easily detachable) cornice top; dated and monogrammed “EIM” over “ AD1900” to front. Four heart piercings to door panels, in the manner of Arthur Simpson of Kendal. Original Thomas Elsley (for whom Voysey supplied designs) hinges and door handles. As yet, “EIM”, for whom the piece was no doubt commissioned/made, has not been identified. Possibly by the Manchester architect, Edgar Wood.
