Code: 11351
An unusual WWII humourous wartime cartoon polychrome lithographic print map of Libya in North Africa.
Seems to celebrate the relief of Tobruk after Rommel's siege was called off in December, 1941.
Appears to be a mix of in-jokes of the time and a true mix of geographical detail and recent news of the battlefield.
Signed by the presumably amateur artist VJ Launder RA (Royal Artillery) and dated Tobruk Dec 1941.
Dimensons approx 21.75" by 19" inc the original frame.
