Glasgow Style Arts & Crafts hand beaten nicely patinated brass bowl on stand with vertical uprights;
very much in the manner of the clocks with similar square section uprights (that are sometimes attributed to George Walton).
However, new research suggests more likely to be by the Duchess of Sutherland Guild.
Incised moto to the engraved rim: "IN PURIS NATURALIBUS". (in a state of nature or in a natural state)
Approx 4.25" high and 9.5" bowl diameter.
