An unusual Irish late Victorian Arts & Crafts bog oak hall table or stand; c1870s.
The top sides and legs profusely carved in the Celtic Revival style. Nicely chamfered pointed termination to the uprights.
The base has a carved spurious date of 1644! (not sure of the significance, if any, of that date!)
Dimensions approx 30" tall to highest point; top 14" square
