Acornman oak planter magazine stand
Excellent quality Cotswold School style oak planter (though has not been used as such) on stand on splayed legs with typical superb chamfering throughout and through tenon/peg construction and panelling and lovely little touch of a signature acorn to one of legs.
Circa 1950s and made by the Grainger family aka Acorn Industries in Yorkshire - one of the early pieces; the acorn was later adapted to one with a much shorter stem. Approx 30 wide, 30 high and 12 deep. Could be very useful also as a magazine/newspaper holder similar to ones designed by Lutyens - or even as a bottle holder.
