An unusual and well carved and designed oak Arts & Crafts table top or wall hung small cabinet; c1900.
With superbly carved panels and metalwork stylistically in the manner of the Guild of Handicraft.
Internally it has sweet little drop handles that were designed by the architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott.
Indeed these handles were illustrated in Baillie Scott/John P White of Bedford catalogue of the time (see images).
Possibly a product of some of the highly talented members of the Home Arts & Industries Association.
