Magnificent Arts & Crafts oak & leaded glass bookcase cabinet by Liberty & Co; c1900. This would have originally been made/fitted specially for a private library commission or suchlike; comprising a projecting corner section, extending to a longer straight run of part leaded glazed top section over cupboard doors. Excellent Scottish style carving to top cornices.
Superbly patinated metalwork with the typical Liberty stirrup handles on squashed heart backplates, stylised strapwork and heart escutcheons.
Locks stamped Liberty & Co and also has the original Liberty stamped keys.
Approx 83" widest at top, 78" high.
Comes apart in five sections for ease of transport/fitting and the top cornices lift off.
