A rare and stunning example of a very large (30" diameter) copper arts & crafts charger at its best, by John Pearson of the Guild of Handicraft and later Newlyn, followed by his own workshops in London where he supplied Liberty & Co as well as Morris & Co.
Unmarked but many examples of his work were as commisions he executed for Liberty & Co or for friends and would not have had his stamped mark.
Beautiful typical galleon and sun motifs. Circa 1900.
