Rare early unique Mouseman dining table with two long sausage mice

Rare early unique Mouseman dining table with two long sausage mice

Code: 11024

POA

An extremely rare (almost ceratinly a one-off) and very early c1920's oak draw leaf extending dining table
by the master, Robert (Mouseman) Thompson!

Fully adzed throughout and with unusually, not one, BUT TWO, elongated "sausage dog" style mice!
(A unique design, previously authenticated by the Mouseman people)

Of excellent colour and patination; a genuine rarity.
Almost certainly a unique commissioned piece.

It has a cleated and panelled design to the (removable) table top, which rests on four octagonal baluster legs.
These are joined by diagonal stretchers which meet centrally in an octagonal central boss,
which in itself acts as an additional central leg.

Aprox 3ft by 3ft  square top when closed.
Each additional leaf approx 12" long, so when fully extended, table is approx 5ft by 3ft.
Height approx 30.5"
