Robin Nance coffer chest
Rare pre-war Cotswold School oak coffer/blanket chest by Robin Nance (born 1907) of St Ives, Cornwall. Nance, like Stanley Davies of Windermere, was originally apprenticed to Arthur Romney Green in Christchurch, Hampshire, for about three years in the 1920s before setting up his own well known workshops in St Ives in 1933. A superb example (unmarked) of early Robin Nance.
Approx 40" wide, 24" high and 17" deep at top, 15.5" base depth.
