Beautifully carved and adzed Arts & Crafts Cotswold School oak door stop in the form of a duck like bird on base.
Typical Cotswold School diamond carving to base section in the manner of Arthur Romney Green and Stanley Webb Davies.
Incised initials and date of the carver to rear, HJC or HJG 1931 and a leaf/palm design; as yet unidentified.
Approx 15" height, 9.5" width and 5.5" overall depth.
A piece with much character!
