Superb quality & beautifully carved (on all sides) Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau solid oak low chest with a set of ten shallow drawers;
attributed to Arthur Simpson of Kendal; c1910.
Obvious high quality aside, has some design features he has used in other pieces.
Lyre design carvings to each side denoting a possible use as a music cabinet, but of course can be used for anything else!
Overall dimensions, 37”widest, 22” high, 21” depth.
The shallow drawers inner height approx 2 and 3/8th of an inch
