An extremely rare and genuinely scarce Liberty & Co Arts & Crafts trio.
Comprising two chairs and a corresponding table that were originally used in the famous LibertyTudor Room Cafe in set in their basement in London; c1900.
We have waited a long time to put this set together!
The chairs are based on Richard Riemerschmid's iconic "Music Room" chair that Liberty imported and sold at the time NB: we now have some of these as well.
They made their own version (these examples) for their own use and to be sold. Other variations of this chair were made later.
The table (approx 25" high and 24" across top) was also made in the Liberty workshops but approx c1924.
A "rare as hen's teeth" ensemble, the likes of which may never be seen again!
