Excellent example of an Arts & Crafts single rush round seat (rarer) chair from the Sussex range, by Morris & Co; c1880s.
This design was attributed to the artist Ford Madox Brown, one of the original partners in Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. (later Morris & Co).
As illustrated in their catalogues at the the time. Nice to see an un-ebonised example.
