A very rare and complete set (all three) of brass (with a high copper content) Arts & Crafts fire irons designed by CFA Voysey and manufactured by Thomas Elsey Ltd, Portland Metalworks, London c1898. 
Comprising poker, heart shaped shovel and tongs of riveted construction and ball knop ends. Similar illustrated, in the Thomas Elsley catalogue of Voysey designs, ref. 1570 (an original copy held in the CFA Voysey RIBA archives at the V&A Study Rooms). Originally were available as is, to rest on fire dogs, or were supplied with a stand.
A set (of two only) is in the collection of the British Museum (Cat. 298) and is illustrated in “ Decorative Arts 1850-1950; A Catalogue of the British Museum Collection” by Judy Rudoe page 210.
