An extremely rare original early Liberty & Co Cymric Silver catalogue with numerous black and white and some hand coloured illustrations, covering Archibald Knox, David Veazey, Oliver Baker and other designs, possibly also those of Bernard Cuzner, Rex Silver and Arthur Gaskin. However as with Liberty & Co policy at the time, no particular designer is credited with any of the designs. Also includes prices at the time. Illustrations shown of presentation cups, christening cups, bowls, boxes, candlesticks, vases, spoons, cigarette cases, clasps, buttons, jewellery and other objects. Approx 110 pages. Undated but circa 1900.
Inscribed inside with the names of Stuart Durant and Gordon House. This important catalogue illustrates the early examples of Liberty & Co`s famous Cymric silver range. The range of silverware (Celtic inspired) was launched in 1899 at an exhibition held at Liberty`s London showrooms. This catalogue was published a few months later.
