A superb and very well patinated oak and copper Arts & Crafts wall-hanging or desk-top bookcase of compact proportions, circa 1900, with repousse copper panels of a stylised lemon and pear tree inset to either side of the central shelves; the panels attributed to John Pearson, the famous Arts & Crafts metalworker; very much in his manner.
Approx 14" high by 19.5" wide and 4.5" deep.
Contains a beautiful set of 31 volumes of The Temple Bible, published by JM Dent & Co, 1902-03.
Similar bookcase - different copper panels and minus books sold at Christies Classic Arts & Crafts sale in 2001.
