Superbly carved Arts & Crafts oak framed convex mirror (original mirror plate); Arthur Simpson of Kendal almost certainly for the architect-designer Mackay Hugh Baillie-Scott (unmarked), c1910.
Shaped corners with carvings of stylised rowan leaves & berries and acorns; the whole almost identical to Baillie-Scott`s work/designs of the carved panelling and ceiling work at Blackwell, the famous Arts & Crafts house in the Lake District.
