Another exceptional example of an early period; c1930`s, Robert (Mouseman) Thompson piece of furniture; superb fully adzed oak fireside or lounge/reading armchair with it`s original leather seat and back, on castors; coupled with a fully panelled back - a real gem of a piece, great colour & patination and with exellent provenance.
This was part of an original collection of furniture designed by the Mouseman for the Yorkshire Regimental Chapel and Officers` Mess of the famous Green Howards Regiment in Richmond; c1933.
