A fabulous and beautifully executed oak framed (original oak frame now further strengthened/re-inforced at back) Arts & Crafts plaster panel in relief, entitled
"The Winged Steeds of Time
by Olive C Harbutt; signed and dated for 1913.
Approx dimensions 41" by 21.75" inc frame/35.5" by 16.25" visible area.
    Olive Cambridge Harbutt (1878-1965) was a artist-sculptor in her own right, and came from an artistic family. Her father William invented plasticine c1895 to help artists mould things, and had the only plasticine factory in the world, Harbutts of Bath (Hampton) till they closed down in the 198o`s. They apparently later gave all their stock to the makers of the world famous satirical TV series  Spitting Image.
